Rialto Bioenergy Solutions
Food and Municipal Waste
Rialto, California

Sevana acquired the Rialto facility in 2024; it is one of North America's largest organic waste-to-energy plants, designed to meet California’s Senate Bill 1383 by converting food waste into renewable fuel.
The facility is built to process up to 1,000 tons per day and produce over 1,000,000 MMBtu annually of carbon-negative renewable natural gas (RNG). The facility also handles biosolids, turning them into fertilizer through its advanced processing systems.
1 million+
MMBtu per year
The facility is built to generate up to 1 million MMBtu of RNG per year, making it one of the largest waste-to-energy facilities in North America.
1,000 tons
per day
The facility has the capacity to process up to 1,000 tons per day (TPD) of a combination of food waste extracted from municipal waste streams, liquid waste, and municipal biosolids.
7 million
gallon capacity
Organic waste is separated, processed, and then fed to two 3.5-million-gallon food waste and municipal solid waste digesters.
